what does it mean to be a "crossover" and what does it cost?
To be a crossover means to compete and practice with 2 teams. These 2 teams must only be within 2 levels up or down of one another.
Many athletes enjoy being a crossover becuase of the challenge and extra friends and teammates! Each team and group of athletes is different and demands unique things from the athletes. In many occasions being a crossover gives the athlete an opportunity to play a new and different role, like maybe they are a tumbler or flyer on one team, and are now a base or backstop on the other team! Crossing over can change things up and be an it up to learn new things! A lot of times we see an athlete that is younger on a team crossover to a team that is younger than them and turn into a wonderful team leader!
What are the costs associated with being on two teams?
Tuittion fees are NOT doubled. IF you cross to a full travel team from a partial travel, your monthly training fee is that of the full travel team.
There are added competition fees. Competition companies each charge their own "crossover fee" for 2nd team which is NOT the full price of registration for first team so the added competition fees FOR 2ND TEAM are less than the full price of first! ALSO if that 2nd team is a partial travel team the added competition fees are much lower since they do not attend all comps full travel does!
